Detachable Cable

Knott/Avonride detachable Brake Cable. These brake cables are available in a variey of different lengths depending on the trailer width. Moreoften than not in a tandem axle configuration the rear axle has substantially longer cables than the front axle because they are anchored on the frotn axle in what we call a four into one compensator mechanism. On the earlier non detachable cables the end of the cable that fastens to the brake expander was permantly fastened to the cable. These are still available but are becoming scarcer.
